Luna Mobile App Redesign

Prototyping a UX/UI design is a challenging, yet rewarding, process because of how much thought and effort goes into it. After the general layout is figured out and elements begin to be applied, then interactions between each page have to be figured out. Even after all of that is done, there is a lot of fine-tuning that goes into the prototype in order to ensure a proper experience for the user. No matter what, the user is always the priority and must be taken into consideration.

My redesign, Luna, is based on Full Moon Phase, which is a moon phase calendar and tracker mobile app. Although it’s pretty established, the navigation is clunky and the overall aesthetics aren’t optimal. I decided to change its direction and take a minimal route, using primarily purple hues in the color palette with a sans-serif typeface.

Check out the final prototype and how my thought process was like below!
