Univers Typeface Poster

Sans-serif fonts, compared to serif fonts, have a simple appearance that’s more legible and can match a variety of brands. This is why most of the text that we see on our screens tend to be sans-serif fonts.

I wanted to see how I could take a sans-serif font and elevate its design through this typeface poster. Univers is a very flexible font because it’s easy to look at and has different weights that can be utilized. The name also resembles the universe, which is the theme that I wanted to highlight.

Using different circular patterns, I wanted to express a minimal version of space and use contrasting colors to draw attention towards different parts of the poster. Blue and orange are a combination that I enjoy playing around with because their contrasting elements are also complimentary and are able to add on to the universe theme.
